Man locks wife away for 3 years
BY STEVE

Angered because she opposed him taking a second wife, Mohammed Shadulla, chained his wife Asha and held her captive in a windowless room within their home in Hyderabad, India for 3 years. Mohammed also reportedly forced her to drink her own urine. To ease suspicions about her disappearance, Mohammed told his neighbors that Asha became mentally ill after their daughter had died in a car accident and he was forced to send her away to be cured.

"But I was locked up in a room without windows and toilet for three years," Asha said.
Asha managed to escape when Mohammed left the door open after cleaning the room.
