Girls gone wild!

Via WFTV.com:

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Three teenaged girls are accused of breaking into a Volusia County home and then crashing into an 80-year-old woman as they tried to get away. Two of the suspects are only 14 years old.

Two of the teen girls won't be going home any time soon, because the judge is keeping them in juvenile detention for 21 days for burglary and nearly killing an elderly woman.

The Harbst sisters are in big trouble, facing charges of burglary, fleeing and eluding police and leaving the scene of an accident. Fourteen-year-old Karlee didn't say a word Thursday. Seventeen-year-old Kayla cried. She's a new mom and misses her baby.

"She has a baby. She's gotten in to trouble before, but she's a good mom," said Tina Freeman, the girls' mother.

And there you have it. "She's a good mom." In America, you can be a good mom AND a thief. This isn't the shocking part of the story though. The horrifying piece to all of this would be this:

"... the judge is keeping them in juvenile detention for 21 days ..."

So in America ... it's okay to hold teenage girls for 21 days who are accused of robbing a house, but if liberals have their way ... that would be considered unacceptable punishment for a suspected terrorist. Sounds about right to me. Oh yeah ... and 60 days for raping a child repeatedly over a ten year period.

Hat Tip: Lovely
