Famous shoe collector running for Congress in the Philippines
Via Associated Press

BATAC, Philippines – Imelda Marcos, the former first lady forever associated with diamonds and a huge shoe collection, put on a bright orange tunic and hit the campaign trail Friday in a bid to re-enter Philippine Congress — a remarkable feat for the widow of a dictator seeking to clear his sullied name.

The 80-year-old Marcos, her hair coifed back and elegant leather sandals on her feet, led journalists at daybreak to the mausoleum of Ferdinand Marcos in his northern Philippine stronghold, where she kissed his glass coffin as cameras snapped.

"This is one of our major injustices," she said, adding her victory would bring closer her dream of burying her husband in a heroes' cemetery in Manila. Such a move has been denied by successive governments since Marcos' death in U.S. exile in 1989, three years after his ouster in a "people power" revolt.

The Marcoses were accused of corruption, political repression and widespread human rights abuses during Ferdinand Marcos' 20-year iron-fisted rule.

Air America going out the same way they came in; Dirty-rotten to the core
Via Geekosystem

It’s been reported that since progressive radio network Air America filed for bankruptcy on January 25th, 2010, everything has been for sale in the companywide liquidation that’s followed. The auction began today at 11:00 EDT.

While there may be something poignant about that for fans of the network, there’s one thing on the auction block that’s likely to bother them more than the broadcast equipment and cubicles: Their e-mail mailing list, which auctioneers are billing at “intellectual property.”

This in spite of the fact that Air America’s privacy agreement said that newsletter e-mail addresses “[would] not be divulged to any third party” as recently as January 17th of this year.

From Maltz Auctions’ auction details for the sale:

Schumer and GrAmnesty announce their latest 'Amnesty Plan'
Update:  Obama endorses
Via LA Times

All those groups who battled so hard last time around, better be regrouping. This round is going to be much tougher.

Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) have proposed a comprehensive, bipartisan immigration reform framework that would include tougher border enforcement, creation of biometric Social Security cards and a path to legalization for the nation's estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants.

The announcement of the plan, which brought immediate praise from President Obama, comes days before a pro-immigration march scheduled for the nation’s capital on Sunday.

”It thoughtfully addresses the need to shore up our borders, and demands accountability from both workers who are here illegally and employers who game the system,” Obama said in a prepared statement.

“A critical next step will be to translate their framework into a legislative proposal, and for Congress to act at the earliest possible opportunity.”

The plan includes four basic pillars, including the creation of biometric Social Security cards to ensure illegal workers cannot get jobs in the future; fulfilling and strengthening border security and interior enforcement; creating a process for admitting temporary workers; and implementing a tough but fair path to legalization for those already here.

Update:  Obama endorses the plan

I've spent the last several days making phone calls and firing off emails to various group leaders and I'm not feeling too good about the response. Many of those who led the previous fight are telling me they are "too tired" or "too busy" to go through it again.

This is totally understandable and I'm also exausted, but I hope these former heroes are able to find that motivation again soon. We're going to need everyone standing on the front lines or ... we'll lose. And who will win? Think about it ...

County welfare for kids of illegal aliens tops $50 million in January alone
Via The Signal

LOS ANGELES COUNTY - Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich released figures from the Department of Public Social Services showing that illegal aliens' children born in the United States collected more than $50 million in welfare benefits (CALWORKS + Food Stamps) for the month of January.

Approximately 23 percent of all CALWORKS and food stamp issuances in Los Angeles County are made to parents who reside in the United States illegally and collect benefits for their native-born children.

"When you add this to $350 million for public safety and nearly $500 million for healthcare, the total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year - not including the millions of dollars for education," Antonovich said.

Hat Tip: Diggers Realm
Illegal Aliens Cost LA County Over $1.5 Billion Per Year - Not Including Education
Via Diggers Realm

One county in one state, that is what Los Angeles County is in the grand scheme of things. Just one county among the 3,100+ that encompass the whole of the United States. This one county though is facing an unparalleled burden of shouldering over $1 billion dollars per year in spending on illegal aliens and their children. This number does not even include the costs of education and other expenses not mentioned in the report below by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

LA County spent $50 million in January alone for food stamps and other welfare services. That's per month. Lets calculate this... 50 x 12, $600 million, then add in the $500 million for the health care mentioned int e report below and the $350 million for public safety... I have no problem stating that the true numbers are probably more than $1.5 billion annually - still not including education. And that's just public spending through the government, imagine the private costs people are paying in terms of higher insurance rates to cover all the illegal alien drivers without insurance who get in accidents... or the expense people are paying due to being victims of identity theft when an illegal steals their identity to get a job or housing (and the depression that occurs when you get a tax due notice from the IRS for monies you didn't earn).

Shane Sparks charged with eight counts of child molestation; pleads not-guilty
Via ContactMusic.com

Emmy-nominated reality TV star SHANE SPARKS has pleaded not guilty to child molestation charges.

Sparks, best known as a judge on Randy Jackson's hit MTV show America's Best Dance Crew, was taken into Los Angeles police custody on a felony warrant in December (09), and charged with eight counts of child molestation, reports TMZ.com.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, Sparks allegedly committed lewd acts upon a child in multiple incidents starting back in 1994.

The acts include oral copulation and other acts "with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions, and sexual desires of the defendant, who was at least 10 years older than (the victim)."

His attorney, Steve Meister, previously called the accusations "extortion, Hollywood style", and insisted the charges "are completely without merit".

Sparks is due back in court on 20 April (10).

Mr. Pot Head demands that Starbucks kick customers out for doing something perfectly legal

Apparently Los Angeles City Councilman Mr. Pot Head Paul Koretz is scared of guns. Koretz is busy attacking Starbucks for daring to allow U.S. citizens to practice a Constitutionally legal right.

A Los Angeles councilman wants Starbucks to add another phrase to its no-shirt, no-service policy: no guns.

"Nothing has happened in Los Angeles yet, but I'm concerned about what could happen," Koretz said. "It is a frightening thought in terms of public safety of having people walking around armed.
Maybe it's because he is responsible for the fact that a good portion of Los Angeles citizens are running around town high on various sorts of drugs.

I'd have to agree that allowing druggies to run around town carrying weapons is not a great idea, but I'd suggest that the drug situation might be a better target for his concern. Drugs? No problem. Legal guns? Help! Run! Danger!

None of this is any surprise, coming from Mr. Pot Head Koretz. For anyone who's not familiar with his far-left, pacifist, anti-Bush rants in the past, I'll give you a few examples.

Koretz seems to spend most of his spare time repeating the previous night's Keith Olbermann show. It's so creepy, I'm wondering if Olbermann should consider obtaining a restraining order on the man. Here's a few of Koretz' quotes from an op-ed he wrote for WeHoNews.com in 2007 [Emphasis added]:

"Another inhumane action by the Bush Administration? I guess I shouldn’t have been so surprised. This is the same President who lied to get us into the disastrous war in Iraq for his own purposes, and whose use of torture has embarrassed us in the eyes of the world."

"Since there doesn’t seem to be a way to win in Iraq, he has declared war on a target less able to fight back—the sick and the dying. Shutting down medical marijuana dispensaries is shockingly pointless and cruel. Have you no shame, Mr. President?"

"Right now, it is 727 days, 11 hours, 48 minutes and 10 seconds until President Bush’s last day. Not that anyone is counting."
SERIOUSLY?! Does this guy tape each show and then write Olbermann's quotes down in his journal for his own use later on?

Koretz also sponsored AB352:

AB352, legislation sponsored by Assembly Member Paul Koretz (D-42), that would require that after a certain date, the make, model, and serial number be microstamped onto the interior surface or internal working parts of all handguns in such a manner that those identifiers are imprinted onto the cartridge case upon firing, was defeated in the closing minutes of the session last night. Per AB352, Handguns that did not include their identifying information would be defined as “unsafe,” and their manufacture, sale, and transfer would be a crime.
IF you're not convinced already, Koretz just happens to be the lunatic who introduced amendments to Assembly Joint Resolution No. 39. What were these amendments calling for, you ask?

California Assemblyman Paul Koretz of Los Angeles (where the LA Times has now called for Cheney's resignation) has submitted amendments to Assembly Joint Resolution No. 39, calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney.
It's impossible to get bored with this guy. The entertainment just keeps coming ...

Democratic Assemblyman Paul Koretz had called bans on gay marriage "the last frontier of bigotry and discrimination."
Maybe Mr. Pot Head ought to be more concerned with keeping guns and drugs out of the hands of criminals and gang members, instead of innocent law abiding citizens who simply want to have the ability to protect themselves from lunatics who do things like this on a daily basis in his own district.

E-mail Mr. Pot Head at paul.koretz@lacity.org and let him know how you feel
Obama in Baier interview: 'procedural rules don't apply to me'

What Constitution? Hawaii working on law that gives them the right to 'ignore citizens they don't feel like talking to'
Via Associated Press

As the state continues to receive e-mails seeking Obama's birth certificate, the state House Judiciary Committee heard a bill Tuesday permitting government officials to ignore people who won't give up.

The issue coincides with Sunshine Week, when news organizations promote open government and freedom of information.

"Do we really want to be known internationally as the Legislature that blocked any inquiries into where President Obama was born?" asked Rep. Cynthia Thielen, R-Kaneohe-Kailua. "When people want to get more information, the way to fuel that fire is to say, 'We're now going to draw down a veil of secrecy.'"

If the measure passed, the state Office of Information Practices could declare an individual a "vexatious requester" and restrict rights to government records for two years.

The committee will schedule a vote on the measure, said Chairman Jon Riki Karamatsu, D-Waipahu-Waikele.

The measure is SB2937

The Messiah: New York Times superimposes a cross into Obama photo
Via New York Times

Apparently, the Communist takeover of the New York Times is complete, and they're not even trying to hide it any longer.

CLICK HERE to see the amazing propaganda in all it's glory.

Doug Ross writes:

Let's review the central attributes of the photograph:

  • Obama, in what has become a tradition for the media, is deified with lighting that resembles a halo (ever recall the use of similar lighting for George W. Bush?)
  • Deification is further emphasized through the use of a cross watermark, courtesy of a mosaic filter
  • The focus, however, is on Obama's single upraised finger, the digit pointing towards the heavens, as if to say "I am the one that can save us, as it was foretold by the ancients." Or something.
  • The White House, a tiny, nearly transparent reflection, is located below the President; it seemingly says that the man is bigger than the office. He is more real. He is more important. He is the One.

Of course, in real life, Barack Obama appears to be little more than a cigarette-puffing Chicago pol, trained in the Alinsky school, whose doctor recently requested cut down on his drinking.

JammieWearingFool adds:
Good grief. I guess the separation of church and state no longer applies when it comes to The Sainted One.
IRS sends shakedown agents to Sacramento carwash to collect 4 cents
Via Sacramento Bee

Arriving at Harv's Metro Car Wash in midtown Wednesday afternoon were two dark-suited IRS agents demanding payment of delinquent taxes. "They were deadly serious, very aggressive, very condescending," says Harv's owner, Aaron Zeff.

The really odd part of this: The letter that was hand-delivered to Zeff's on-site manager showed the amount of money owed to the feds was ... 4 cents.

Inexplicably, penalties and taxes accruing on the debt – stemming from the 2006 tax year – were listed as $202.31, leaving Harv's with an obligation of $202.35.

"It's hilarious," he says, "that two people hopped in a car and came down here for just 4 cents. I think (the IRS) may have a problem with priorities."

Now he's trying to figure out how penalties and interest could climb so high on such a small debt. He says he's never been told he owes any taxes or that he's ever incurred any late-payment penalties in the four years he's owned Harv's.

In fact, he provided us with an Oct. 22, 2009, letter from the IRS that states Harv's "has filed all required returns and addressed any balances due."

IRS spokesman Jesse Weller isn't commenting "due to privacy and disclosure laws."

Another city bans Bible study in private homes
Via WorldNetDaily

The city of Gilbert, Ariz., has ordered a group of seven adults to stop gathering for Bible studies in a private home because such meetings are forbidden by the city's zoning codes.

The issue was brought to a head when city officials wrote a letter to a pastor and his wife informing them they had 10 days to quit having the meetings in their private home.

"The interpretation and enforcement of the town's code is clearly unconstitutional, " said Daniel Blomberg, a member of the litigation team for ADF. "It bans 200,000 Gilbert residents from meeting in their private homes for organized religious purposes – an activity encouraged in the Bible, practiced for thousands of years, and protected by the First Amendment."

"This ban is defended based upon traffic, parking, and building safety concerns. However, nothing in its zoning code prevents weekly Cub Scouts meetings, Monday Night Football parties with numerous attendees or large business parties from being held on a regular basis in private homes," the ADF said.

France: 15-year-old Muslim student sprays teacher with tear gas for saying al-Qaeda is a "terrorist group"
Via www.iol.co.za

Lyon, France - A 15-year-old French schoolboy sprayed a teacher with teargas after she described al-Qaeda as a "terrorist group", she told reporters on Tuesday as prosecutors began their investigation.

"I had just explained that the attacks on September 11, 2001 were carried out by the terrorist organisation al-Qaeda, as is written in the text book," said the history teacher, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"He stood up and declared that al-Qaeda is not terrorist and that neither is the Taliban," she said, adding that the boy had then pulled out a spray can and doused her and a teaching assistant with teargas.

Both staff members, who work in the small school in the central French village of Largentiere, made a criminal complaint against the boy, state prosecutors confirmed.

Associated Press writer freaks out over Texas Board of Education decision to teach kids the truth
Via Associated Press

So the Texas State Board of Education decided on Friday that school books should include actual true history instead of the socialist/communist propaganda that liberals and anti-Americans prefer, and how do you think the Associated Press reported the story? [All emphasis added]

The Texas State Board of Education agreed to new social studies standards on Friday after the far-right faction wielded its power to shape the lessons that will be taught to millions of students on American history, the U.S. free enterprise system, religion and other topics.

In dozens of smaller votes passed over the three days, the ultra-conservatives who dominate the board nixed all but a few efforts to recognize the diversity of race and religion in Texas.
This is probably the most absurd decision by the Board:

They also agreed to strike the word "democratic" in references to the form of U.S. government, opting instead to call it a "constitutional republic."
OUTRAGEOUS! How dare they teach those poor little kids the truth! Never mind the fact that we're actually a "Constitutional Republic" and NOT a "Democracy."

"We have been about conservatism versus liberalism," said Democrat Mavis Knight of Dallas, explaining her vote against the standards. "We have manipulated strands to insert what we want it to be in the document, regardless as to whether or not it's appropriate."
Because "appropriateness" obviously outweighs factual accuracy, as long as it's what liberals 'want to be in the document.'

Over the past three days, the board also argued over how historic periods should be classified (still B.C. and A.D., rather than B.C.E. and C.E.); whether or not students should be required to explain the origins of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its impact on global politics (they will); and whether former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir should be required learning (she will).
Because God knows that we should ban any and all mention of God in school, so kids will not ever be allowed to hear what others believe. And God forbid that kids should find out the truth about never ending attacks and hatred toward Israel. They should only be allowed to teach kids that everything is the Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeews fault! I apologize to anyone who may have been offended by my use of the word "God." (Sarcasm off)

Berlanga also bristled when the board approved an amendment that deletes a requirement that sociology students "explain how institutional racism is evident in American society."
OUTRAGE! How are we ever going to get kids to be color blind if we're not allowed to constantly talk about color? DOH!

McLeroy, a 10-year board veteran, has been one of the most prolific and polarizing members. The devout Christian conservative has been adamant on several issues, including that the Christian influences of the nation's Founding Fathers are important to studying American history.
CRAZY TALK! Who could possibly think that Christianity had any impact on the Founders or American history?

Mexican military helicopter hovers over Texas neighborhood
Via San Antonio Express News

The Zapata County sheriff Thursday was questioning why a Mexican military helicopter was hovering over homes on the Texas side of the Rio Grande.

It was one of the more jarring incidents of the fourth week of border tensions sparked by drug killings, and rumors of such killings, in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas.

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez said he'd reviewed photos of the chopper flown by armed personnel Tuesday over a residential area known as Falcon Heights-Falcon Village near the binational Falcon Lake, just south of the Starr-Zapata county line. He said the helicopter appeared to have the insignia of the Mexican navy.

“It's always been said that the Mexican military does in fact ... that there have been incursions,” Gonzalez said. “But this is not New Mexico or Arizona. Here we've got a river; there's a boundary line. And then of course having Falcon Lake, Falcon Dam, it's a lot wider. It's not just a trickle of a river, it's an actual dam. You know where the boundary's at.”

Gonzalez, the Zapata sheriff, said he couldn't confirm reports that the helicopter was scoping out the home of a drug criminal. He said the incursion about a mile over the border took place over a neighborhood populated by many U.S. Customs officers who work at area border crossings — and that they knew what they were seeing.

California about to fall into the ocean; Unemployment tops 20% in eight counties
Via LA Times

New county-by-county figures released by the state Wednesday showed that in eight counties, more than 1 in 5 people were out of work. Moreover, revised numbers for last year show that fewer people were employed than was previously believed.

The state was one of five, along with Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, that reached their highest unemployment rates since the government began keeping track in 1976, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. California's was 12.5% in January, up from 12.3% in December.

California's unemployment rate was the fifth-highest in the nation, behind Michigan, Nevada, Rhode Island and South Carolina.

Wyoming Governor Signs Sovereignty Resolution
Via The Tenth Amendment Center

This week, Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal signed House Joint Resolution 2 (HJ0002), claiming “sovereignty on behalf of the State of Wyoming and for its citizens under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government or reserved to the people by the Constitution of the United States."

In a memorandum sent to the Wyoming legislature in late January, Freudenthal made clear his position that the federal government has gone beyond the limits of the constitution:

“For decades we have shared increased frustration dealing with the federal government and its agencies. What started out as a leak in the erosion of state prerogative and independence has today turned into a flood. From wolf and grizzly bear management, to gun control, to endless regulation and unfunded mandates – the federal government has become far too powerful and intrusive.”

Once brought to a vote this year, the legislature showed little opposition to sending a notice to D.C. that the federal government is overstepping its constitutional authority. The Senate passed it by a vote of 26-4 and the House by a vote of 56-4.

House Joint Resolution 2 includes language to this effect:

That this resolution serve as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, from enacting mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers. The state of Wyoming will not enforce such mandates. [emphasis added]

Wyoming joins 10 other states that have passed similar resolutions since last year; Alaska, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Tennessee passed theirs in 2009, and Utah, Alabama, and South Carolina have joined Wyoming in passing resolutions this year.

Argentine parents shoot their children, commit suicide over fear of global warming
Via Daily Mail

A seven-month-old baby girl survived three days alone with a bullet in her chest beside the bodies of her parents and toddler brother.

Argentines Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their children before killing themselves after making an apparent suicide pact over fears about global warming.

Their son Francisco, two, died instantly after being hit in the back.

But their unnamed daughter cheated death after the bullet from her dad's handgun missed her vital organs.

Paramedics rushed her to hospital covered in blood when police alerted by worried neighbours discovered the massacre three days later.

The youngster is recovering in hospital in the town of Goya in the northern Argentine province of Corrientes, where doctors say she is out of danger.

Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.

Surviving relatives ought to look into filing multiple lawsuits against Al Gore and others pushing Global Warming fraud.

Notice the comments to the story. The Daily Mail censored comments immediately after it became apparent readers were outraged over the fact that this hoax has now claimed lives.

What happens when government gets involved in the Airline Industry? Same thing that happens when it gets involved in anything
Via Associated Press

Continental Airlines plans to cancel flights rather than risk stiff fines under new federal rules designed to punish carriers for delaying passengers.

CEO Jeff Smisek said Tuesday the result will be that passengers will have more trouble getting to their destinations.

A spokesman for the U.S. Transportation Department said airlines can avoid fines by doing a better job of scheduling flights and crews.

Under a Transportation Department rule taking effect next month, airlines can be fined up to $27,500 per passenger if planes are delayed three hours and passengers can't get off.

Smisek said many passengers on delayed flights "really want to go to LA or Mumbai, but the government by God says, 'We're going to fine you $27,500.' Here's what we're going to do: We're going to cancel the flight."

Normally, what happens is, customers purchase a service from a company. The customer either likes the service, or they don't like the service. If they don't like the service, the customer doesn't return, instead giving their business to an alternate provider of the same service.

That's how it works. Competition is always the driving motivation for business to offer low prices and quality service.

Continental's response is exactly the response we can expect from hospitals as well, once Obamacare is forced upon us. Hospitals and healthcare providers, not wanting to deal with government demands and red tape, will simply choose to not offer life saving services, which will result in people dying.

I can't wait!

U.S. researchers want government to add an 18 percent tax to PIZZA?
Via Reuters

U.S. researchers estimate that an 18 percent tax on pizza and soda can push down U.S. adults' calorie intake enough to lower their average weight by 5 pounds (2 kg) per year.

The researchers, writing in the journal Archives of Internal Medicine on Monday, suggested taxing could be used as a weapon in the fight against obesity, which costs the United States an estimated $147 billion a year in health costs.

In a commentary, Drs. Mitchell Katz and Rajiv Bhatia of the San Francisco Department of Public Health said taxes are an appropriate way to correct a market that favors unhealthy food choices over healthier options.
Yeah, nothing like a little social engineering to make the world a better place. Let's take a look at what that world might look like after fascists like Katz and Bhatia get through with it (Hat tip to Olga Mancuso for the video):

Light sentence and early release of sex offender results in two more dead teenagers
Via CBS13

The bones of a 14-year-old Southern California girl who vanished more than a year ago while walking to school were discovered in a rugged, remote area, authorities said Sunday, less than a week after a registered sex offender was charged with murdering another teenage girl who lived nearby.

The search for Amber Dubois had produced few leads until 17-year-old Chelsea King disappeared Feb. 25, last seen wearing running clothes in a park about 10 miles south of where Amber was last seen walking with a man. A body presumed to be Chelsea's was found in a shallow, lakeside grave five days after Chelsea disappeared.

John Albert Gardner III, 30, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to murdering Chelsea and raping or attempting to rape her and attempting to rape another woman in December, a potential death penalty case.

A spokesman for the San Diego County district attorney's office, Paul Levikow, declined to comment Sunday on the investigation into Amber's death.

Gardner was registered as a sex offender in Escondido, a north San Diego suburb, from January 2008 to January 2010, with some gaps, police say.

He served five years of a six-year prison term for molesting a 13-year-old neighbor in San Diego in 2000; he saw her at a bus stop and lured her to his home to watch movies. He completed parole in September 2008.

A court-appointed psychiatrist, Dr. Matthew Carroll, recommended the maximum sentence allowed under law for Gardner in 2000, calling him an "extremely poor candidate" for treatment and a "continued danger to underage girls in the community."

He faced a maximum sentence of nearly 11 years in prison under a plea agreement, but prosecutors urged six years.

Three Muslim cousins arrested for driving around shooting gay men; now facing hate crime charges
Via Oakland Tribune

Three Hayward cousins are facing hate crime charges after a man was shot in the face with a BB gun because the attackers believed he was gay, according to San Francisco authorities.

Mohammad Habibzada, 24, Shafiq Hashemi, 21, and Sayed Bassam, 21, were arrested about 15 minutes after the shooting, when police spotted a car in the area that matched a description given by the victim. The suspects have addresses in Hayward.
Apparently, they were driving around videotaping similar attacks:

A video of the assault and other similar crimes was recorded by the attackers and is being held as evidence, assistant district attorney Brian Buckelew said.

Eric Holder, call your office. There are more Muslim barbarians needing representation.

How long until CAIR manages to get charges dropped? Three Muslims, driving around shooting men in the face because they are gay, all three being  members of an evil ideology that calls for the death of homosexuals. Does anyone really believe the Hayward District Attorney will have the nads to charge Muslims with a hate crime? I'll actually be surprised if all charges aren't mysteriously dropped.

Of course, we know how Muslims believe homosexuals should be treated:

Commie Jed Brandt: "The way change is going to happen in this country is through the destruction of what we call the United States of America."

"We have to bring this government down. We need to help destroy this system"

It's amazing to me how many American citizens are still walking around like zombies, completely oblivious to the war that's going on right in front of their faces. The enemy doesn't even try to hide it anymore. They come right out and tell us what they're doing and millions of Americans sit in front of their televisions watching American Idol.

Are we really going to let these evil bastards destroy this country? Seriously? If you've got a neighbor or a friend who seems to be asleep, show them this video. Ask them what it's going to take. Ask them how far we have to fall before they decide it's worth their time to fight.

I'm guessing they believe if they keep their head buried in that sand long enough, everything will eventually just work itself out on it's own.

Christian Science Monitor publishes fraudulent left-wing propaganda piece; claims Pentagon shooter was "right-wing"
Update:  Bedell was a registered Democrat
Via Christian Science Monitor

Since when is it "right-wing" to hate the military, hate George Bush, and believe the U.S. government blew up the World Trade Center?

John Patrick Bedell, whom authorities identified as the gunman in the Pentagon shooting on Thursday, appears to have been a right-wing extremist with virulent antigovernment feelings.

Details of Mr. Bedell’s case are still emerging. But writings by someone with his same name and birth date, posted on the Internet, express ill will toward the government and the armed forces and question whether Washington itself might have been behind the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

I sincerely believe that the location of all future conservative protests should be outside the front door of various media institutions.

Update:  Michelle Malkin reports that Bedell was a registered Democrat.

Condoms being produced in Switzerland for boys as young as 12
Via The Daily Mail

The Hotshot condoms are going on sale in Switzerland after research found that not enough 12 to 14-year-old boys were having protected sex.

The condoms are likely to end up on sale in Britain, said their manufacturer Lamprecht AG.

A spokesman said the UK would be ‘top priority’ if the company expanded abroad, considering it had the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe.

Nysse Norballe said: ‘At the moment we are only producing the Hotshot in Switzerland.

‘But the UK is certainly a very attractive market since there is a very high rate of underage conception.’

Hilary Pannack, of teenage pregnancy charity Straight Talking Peer Education, said: ‘We know young people are having sex and if this is what it takes to protect them, we need to go along with it.’

“Corrupt the young. Get them away from religion.
Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness.”

Are you prepared for the Census?

I noticed that there are a few comments suggesting that Jerry Day was incorrect for referring to the American Community Survey rather than the Census, but this is not accurate. The American Community Survey is conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau and it's silly to think that it's somehow not used in conjunction with the short form version. In fact, if it's NOT part of the U.S. Census, then the American Community Survey is even more out of line with the Constitution and no citizen has ANY obligation to answer a single question.

Liberal peace-loving students in California riot over budget cuts
Via KCRA.com

Davis California is a liberal enclave between Sacramento and San Francisco. We all know what happens when liberals don't get their way. The anti-war mobs suddenly believe violence solves everything.

The confrontation came on a day when students around the state gathered to protest steep fee hikes, canceled classes and faculty furloughs. The protest, which is part of the Day of Action, comes at a time when the state is facing a $20 billion deficit.

Police fired rubber bullets into the ground in an effort to deter students, who stood toe-to-toe with officers.
Violence has also been reported at University of California, Santa Cruz.

David Kliger, campus provost at UC Santa Cruz, sent a message to the campus community warning of reports of protesters carrying clubs and knives. He said it also appears that someone smashed a car windshield with a metal pipe.

Michelle Malkin adds:

As I’ve noted before, it’s not right-wing Republicans assaulting police officers, abusing government authority to try and drive out the Marines, waging nationwide war on recruiters, and terrorizing researchers in the name of animal rights. It’s left-wing nutballs who always get a pass from the NYTimes columnists and MSNBC loudmouths who’ve been blaming every violent outburst on the planet on the Tea Party movement.
Today, the social justice mobsters on campuses across the country held a nationwide tantrum over tuition hikes. This is how the Left teaches civil discourse to its intellectual progeny: “Gimme!” “Revolucion!” “Smash Patriarchy!”
