Democrats vote AGAINST Christmas, while voting in FAVOR of Ramadan

In case you might have missed our post earlier in the week, nine democrats voted against H. Res. 847; the Bill intended to recognize the importance of Christmas and the Christian faith.

What makes this so pathetic, is that the same nine Democrats had earlier voted IN FAVOR of a similar bill intended to recognize Ramadan and Islam.

Michelle Malkin points out: "None of the nine voted against resolutions honoring the Islamic holiday of Ramadan and the Hindu holiday of Diwali.”

Full text of the bill can be found HERE.

Illegal Lebanese Immigrant Worked for FBI, CIA
BY STEVE

Here's a little update on the bang up job being done by the FBI and CIA in the war on global jihad. Nada Nadim Prouty, an illegal from Lebanon, pleaded guilty recently to faking a marriage in order to gain U.S. citizenship. This paved the way for her to get jobs with both the FBI and CIA, where she stole classified information pertaining to her brother in-law and his ties to the terrorist organization Hezbollah and passed the information off to him.

AFP Fauxtography
BY STEVE

Notice anything odd about this AFP photo?

The caption claims the bullets were fired at an elderly woman's house by U.S. troops during a raid after yesterday's devastating suicide bombings. The only problem is, the bullets appear to be in perfect condition. They even apparently still have their shell casings on them, meaning they couldn't possibly have been fired at anybody or anything. So what happened? Did those evil imperialist U.S. soldiers run out of rifles and decide to throw them at her?

Agence France Presse was apparently so eager to publish this photo and label U.S. soldiers as monsters that they didn't even bother to make certain the bullets had actually been discharged from a weapon first.

Arrested for flushing the Koran
BY STEVE

You can burn the American flag, paint swastikas on the star of David, place Christian symbols in jars of urine and piles of dung, but apparently, if you flush a copy of the Koran, you've gone too far, because a man at Pace University has been arrested and charged with a "hate crime" for doing just that. When will we finally stand up for ourselves and say enough is enough? We're becoming dhimmis by choice and we must put a stop to it.

Original story from the AP:

Hate-crime arrests in Quran desecrations at Pace University

July 27, 2007, 8:33 PM EDT

NEW YORK (AP) _ A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday on hate-crime charges after he threw a Quran in a toilet at Pace University on two separate occasions, police said.

Stanislav Shmulevich of Brooklyn was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and aggravated harassment, both hate crimes, police said. It was unclear if he was a student at the school. A message left at the Shmulevich home was not immediately returned.

The Islamic holy book was found in a toilet at Pace's lower Manhattan campus by a teacher on Oct. 13. A student discovered another book in a toilet on Nov. 21, police said.

Muslim activists had called on Pace University to crack down on hate crimes after the incidents. As a result, the university said it would offer sensitivity training to its students.

The school was accused by Muslim students of not taking the incident seriously enough at first. Pace classified the first desecration of the holy book as an act of vandalism, but university officials later reversed themselves and referred the incident to the New York Police Department's hate crimes unit.

The incidents came amid a spate of vandalism cases with religious or racial overtones at the school. In an earlier incident on Sept. 21, the school reported another copy of the Quran was found in a library toilet, and in October someone scrawled racial slurs on a student's car at the Westchester County satellite campus and on a bathroom wall at the campus in lower Manhattan. Police did not connect Shmulevich to those incidents.

Treatment of the Quran is a sensitive issue for Muslims, who view the book as a sacred object and mistreating it as an offense against God. The religion teaches that the Quran is the direct word of God.

In 2005, Newsweek magazine published and later retracted a story claiming U.S. interrogators at a prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, flushed a copy of the holy book down a toilet. The report sparked deadly demonstrations in Afghanistan and protests throughout the Middle East.

Pace University has 14,000 students on its campuses in New York City and Westchester County.

Messages left for school administrators and for officials with the New York and national chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations were not immediately returned Friday evening.

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the national CAIR office in Washington, D.C., has said the organization receives frequent reports of Quran desecrations in the United States, especially postings on Internet sites, but seldom makes them public.

He said CAIR decided to speak out about the Pace incidents because Muslim students are impacted by the creation of what could be viewed as a hostile campus environment.

National Anthem Prohibited
BY STEVE

Talk radio personality, Rusty Humphries reads a letter from a choir leader who brought her students to the Lincoln memorial. Foreign guards who could barely speak any English were asked if the choir singing the national anthem would be all right. The guards originally said yes and then interrupted the performance half-way through.

It's a sad day in America when our own freaking anthem is prohibited by foreign guards working at our own memorials.

Just how far will anti-Christian bigots go to brainwash our children?

Via HotAir.com and reported by PhillyBurbs.com:

New Jersey high school stages mock terror attack — by right-wing “Crusaders”

The purpose of the drill was to test the reactions of police, faculty and administration. The mock terror attack involved two irate men armed with handguns who invaded the high school through the front door. They pretended to shoot several students in the hallway and then barricaded themselves in the media center with 10 student hostages.

Here's the interesting part (bold face and underline mine) ...

Two Burlington Township police detectives portrayed the gunmen. Investigators described them as members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the “New Crusaders” who don’t believe in separation of church and state. The mock gunmen went to the school seeking justice because the daughter of one had been expelled for praying before class.

Nothing like teaching them to be bigots at an early age.

Oakland Tribune activity sponsors and organizes anti-Bush protests

Starting in February, 2006, the Oakland Tribune appears to have made the decision to stop reporting the news, and instead … to be a part of it, or even create it. On February 13th the Tribune ran an editorial giving instructions to readers on how to participate in an anti-Bush protest. This protest was apparently officially organized, sponsored, publicized, and physically conducted by the Editorial Board of the Oakland Tribune.

Here is the announcement as it appeared on one website:

Mail or bring your copies of '1984' to the Oakland Tribune -- they will send them to Congress!! 23 Dec 2005 "We think it's time for Congress to heed the warning of George Orwell. To that end, we're asking for your help: Mail us or drop off your tattered copies of '1984.' When we get 537 of them, we'll send them to every member of the House of Representatives and Senate and to President [sic] Bush and Vice President [sic] Dick Cheney. Feel free to inscribe the book with a note, reminding these fine people that we Americans take the threat to our liberties seriously... Bring or mail your books to the Oakland Tribune, 401 13th St., Oakland CA 94612. Doors are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m."

And here is the link to the actual editorial which appeared on the pages of the Oakland Tribune on 02/13/06:

I just received a call back from Josh Richman of the Oakland Tribune - Politics & Criminal Justice.

Mr. Richman completely admitted that the newspaper editorial board organized, publicized, and activity participated in this protest of the sitting President of the United States. This is unbelievable!

He did inform me that this protest is already completed and started over a year ago, but the most interesting information he gave me was that there were employees of the newspaper actually sitting in an office, stuffing these books into envelopes, addressing them to members of Congress, and then mailing them. This is absurd!

I asked Mr. Richman if the Oakland Tribune had given up their newspaper status and now become a political action committee.

I've been told that I will also be getting a call from the Editor soon, as they seem to be concerned with where this might lead, and if this does happen I will post updates as they come in.

Here’s an ironic moment. While speaking with Mr. Richman, he asked me what blogs or outlets might be writing about this story and I informed him that I believe it might hit all the main blogs as well as Fox News. When I mentioned FoxNews, he laughed. Now, a public newspaper organizing an anti-Bush protest doesn’t get any more biased than that, so I find this reaction the ultimate hypocrisy, but amazingly it’s the normal response we see from any of the most biased of liberal news sources. After something like this, just how does the Oakland Tribune complain about any news organization being biased?

Please spread this story as far as possible. Email it to friends, blog it, and definitely contact the Oakland Tribune, as well as Fox News. There's no way this should be kept secret, even if it's already completed.

France moves to silence bloggers

So France had a little problem with some Islamic car burning and various acts of Jihad, which they had been trying desperately to hide from the world. Unfortunately, the “celebrating” by the “youths” who all happened to belong to the “religion of peace” just happened to be caught on tape by many amateur videographers and journalists and then broadcast throughout the internet for the whole world to see.

We simply can’t have that. It’s tough work keeping reality a secret from the masses of sheep, so we must pass some sort of law that prevents this sort of thing. So, according to Peter Sayer of IDG News Service and reported by Macworld.com:

The French Constitutional Council has approved a law that criminalizes the filming or broadcasting of acts of violence by people other than professional journalists. The law could lead to the imprisonment of eyewitnesses who film acts of police violence, or operators of Web sites publishing the images, one French civil liberties group warned on Tuesday.

But wait. You think that’s bad?

The government has also proposed a certification system for Web sites, blog hosters, mobile-phone operators and Internet service providers, identifying them as government-approved sources of information if they adhere to certain rules

Click here to read the entire story.

This is the sort of thing all of us are used to seeing from the French, but this would never happen in the U.S., right? Wrong.

Apparently - as this story shows - photojournalist Carlos Miller found out that Miami seems to be really sweet on the idea.

Insurgents use Google Earth to plan attacks
BY STEVE

This story is somewhat old, but I thought it deserved a bit more attention. Apparently, the "insurgents" in Iraq are utilizing Google Earth to plan attacks against allied forces. For those unfamiliar, Google Earth gives its users access to images taken from satellites all over the world...including Iraq. Documents have recently been recovered from the homes of "insurgents" which included print-outs of Google Earth images with notes detailing the coordinates of a British military camp.

Google Earth is indeed a wonderful tool. Perhaps a little too wonderful. Story from the Telegraph.

Prepare for liberal hypocrisy at it's best

So it turns out that San Francisco prophet Gavin Newsom - liberal symbol for all that is good, decent, and humane - was sleeping around with his campaign manager's wife.

Via the Associated Press:

SAN FRANCISCO - Mayor Gavin Newsom apologized Thursday for having a sexual relationship with his former campaign manager's wife.

"I'm deeply sorry," Newsom said during a brief news conference at City Hall the day after the aide resigned. Newsom appeared poised but visibly emotional. He spoke for about a minute and left without taking questions.

Alex Tourk, 39, resigned Wednesday after confronting his boss about his relationship with his wife, Ruby Rippey-Tourk, 34, who once worked as the mayor's appointment secretary.

Newsom acknowledged that he had the affair first reported Wednesday night on the San Francisco Chronicle's Web site and apologized for what he called "a lapse of judgment."

Right. A "lapse of judgment."
Not surprisingly, liberals will rally behind that explanation to defend their hero.

San Francisco residents said the mayor's interoffice dalliance would have little bearing on his performance as mayor.

"I could care less," said Lee Simmons, 79, at a downtown bank. "Newsom is great. I voted for him last time and I'll vote for him again."

Tom Abbott, 36, an executive recruiter, said that having an affair with a loyal aide's wife was "a total slimeball move.

"Any guy who puts that much mousse in his hair can't be trusted," Abbott said. "You don't screw over your own boys."

However, Abbott said that he would probably vote for Newsom in November.

Construction worker Geremy Curtis, 34, agreed that while the news out of Newsom's office made for interesting gossip, "it will be laughed off," he said.

"We put these people on a pedestal and think they are above all usual activities, and when they do something that is completely human, we are astonished," he said.

Sounds sorta familiar. Everyone's human, right?

Curtis predicted that San Francisco voters would forgive the mayor if he owned up to any lapses in judgment.

But there's one problem with this current liberal forgiveness and understanding, and that's because there's absolutely no chance they're going to feel the same way when Rudy Giuliani or Newt Gingrich are on the campaign trail for the Presidency. Will they still have the same understanding? Will they still feel the same forgiveness?

No. Not a chance.

Starting soon, we're going to be bashed in the head with reminders of infidelity. We'll see liberal protesters yelling obnoxious insults while holding signs reading such things as "CHEATER" or "ADULTERER" or ironically ... "HYPOCRITE."

Will anyone bother to remind them of their words regarding Newsom?

Who are our leaders?
A Letter from a retired Command Sergeant Major

Hat Tip: Dian

Via Townhall.com – A Different Planet:
(Bold emphasis is mine)

Insight from a Command Sergeant Major
J.D. Pendry
(retired Army Command Sergeant Major who writes for Random House)

Jimmy Carter, you're the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You're the Runner-in-Chief.

Bill Clinton, you played "ring around the Lewinsky" while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia, and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses embolden the killers.
Each time you failed to respond adequately they grew bolder, until 9/11.

John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You've accused our Soldiers of terrorizing women and in Iraq. You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time - - the same words you used to describe Vietnam. You're a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were for, before you were against it.

John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof. And said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert. Are you sure you didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You're a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You're not a Marine, sir. You wouldn't amount to a pimple on a real Marine's a*s. You're a phony and a disgrace. Run away John.

Richard Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned South East Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? See Durban run.

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster sized pictures from Abu Grhaib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqis torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news this week Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrate real torture for you again. If you truly supported our troops, you'd show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese which led to a communist victory there. You're a bloated fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on you wide, gin-soaked rear end in Washington.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Chuck Schumer, et al, ad nauseam. Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied That the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers. That we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers - - the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers - -cause to think that we will run away again and all they have to do is hang on a little longer.

American news media, the New York Times particularly. Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer.

You are America's axis of idiots. Your collective stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don't ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers home, as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies. Yes, I'm questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I'm also questioning why you're stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don't deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. You need to run away from this war and this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it.

No, Commander in Chief, you don't get off the hook either. Our country has two enemies. Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It's your obligation to support them by confronting the axis of idiots. America must hear it from you that these people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety.
Well up a little anger, please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now!

There's always something to hide the ugliness of the world, if only for a minute

On this first day of the new year, we're overwhelmed with the public hanging of an evil monster, the crash of an Indonesian Airliner, monster snow storms in the Midwest, and the drive-by shooting death of a 24 year old football player ... but there always seems to be something that manages to distract us for just long enough to catch a breath.

Although not exactly newsworthy, I found this video and felt it was entertaining enough to help lighten the mood for at least a few minutes.

If the below video is not visible, or fails to play ... click here to view.

Maybe we ought to send a few million of these unicycles to the Middle East. It might give the teenage boys something else to think about other than jihad.

Now back to reality ...

For those interested in the North American Union theories, there's plenty of news to worry you. How long until we start hearing government leaders hinting of a need for a common currency in North America? You know? Just so we can compete.
